First, though, check to make sure it's plugged in. Totally obvious, but he says you'd be surprised how many people don't look, then call in a pricey expert!

Refrigerator Won't Cool
What to Do:
Use a coil brush or a vacuum's crevice tool to clean the condenser coils (usually located underneath, behind a snap-off grill).
Make sure the problem isn't with the cold-control setting.

Dishwasher Isn't Cleaning
What to Do:
Check that there's rinse agent.
Wipe up any food particles if there's a screen or filter on the bottom, inside the machine. Otherwise, they can get deposited on your dishes.
Try a different detergent.

Dryer Isn't Drying Clothes
What to Do:
Clean the lint screen after every load.
Ensure that the vent outside isn't blocked.
See if you accidentally had the controls set on "fluff" or "no heat."
