Raise your hand if one of these applies to you: 1) Your energy comes in the form of Red Bull. 2) The circles under your eyes reach your chin. 3) You'd be lost without the to-do list written on your wrist. 4) All apply, but you're too tired to raise your hand. If you're more fatigued than fresh, try these simple ways to regain your energy:

Breathe Before tackling your next task, sit quietly for a few minutes and simply focus on your breathing; this helps give those energy-sapping, speed-racer thoughts a time-out.

Sit up Slouching throws your body's structure out of alignment, which means it has to work harder than necessary to restore muscle balance and proper blood flow.

Head outside Just as we need darkness to support our sleep cycles, we need light to wake up our metabolisms, says Frank Lipman, M.D., author of SPENT: End Exhaustion and Feel Great Again. Aim for ten minutes of daily sun time in the early a.m. or late afternoon, when rays are safest.

Work it out Exercising by alternating short bursts of speed with a slower pace teaches your body to handle stress. Choose your preferred cardio and push yourself for 1 minute, followed by 2 minutes at a much slower pace. Repeat these intervals for 20 to 30 minutes.
