Candy Corn

By Jill Fanuzzi

Materials:
Scissors
½ yard ¼-inch foam
Glue gun
Glue sticks
¼ yard orange felt
¼ yard yellow felt
White long-sleeved bodysuit (no front buttons or snaps)
White hat
White tights or leggings

1. Cut a 13" long triangular candy corn shape out of the foam, with a 13" wide bottom, gradually narrowing towards a flat 7½" tip. Round all the corners.

2. Place the orange felt on a flat surface. Lay the foam over the felt, leaving the bottom 3" of foam off the felt. Glue foam to the felt. Cut the felt around the foam shape 4" from the side and top edges of the foam. Glue the excess felt to the back of the foam. Turn the shape over so the finished side is up. Lay the yellow felt over the bottom 4" of the foam, overlapping the orange felt. Fold the top ½" of the yellow felt under, and run a bead of glue over the bottom of the orange felt, and glue the folded yellow edge to it. Turn the shape over and cut the yellow felt 4" from the edge of the foam. Glue the excess felt to the back of the foam.

3. Glue the candy corn to the front of the bodysuit, lining up the top edge of the candy corn with the neck opening of the bodysuit. The white hat represents the tip of the candy.
