Christmas Hugs

By Sharon Haapala

Christmas Hugs

"You can use the recipe for any occasion, just buy different colored M&M candies to match the season."

Ingredients:
3 bags Hershey's Hugs (white and milk striped chocolate, no nuts)
2 1-pound bags peanut M&Ms (in Christmas colors)
1 large bag pretzel rings (if you cannot find pretzel rings, you can substitute mini-pretzels or waffle-style pretzels as well)

Directions:
1. Heat oven to 220 degrees.

2. Line a cookie sheet with foil. Place pretzel rings on cookie sheet in single layer, with about 35 rings per pan.

3. Place unwrapped Hugs upright inside pretzel rings.

4. Place in oven for about 5 minutes or until Hugs are shiny.

5. Remove from oven and immediately  -- and gently  -- press M&Ms into softened hugs.

6. Chill for about an hour, then remove from foil.
