Cookie Recipe: Cherry Chocolate Drizzle Cookies

Ingredients:

For the cookies:

1 cup butter
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2-1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup raspberry or strawberry jam (hand-stirred to make it runny)
1 jar of Morello Cherries (pitted)

For the chocolate drizzle:

1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2c cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt

Sifted powdered sugar for decoration

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Mix butter, sugars, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
3. Mix baking powder into the flour and then stir into butter mixture.
4. Shape into 1-inch size balls and place onto ungreased cookie sheet.
5. Make an indentation with knuckle in center of ball.
6. Place a small amount of jam in indentation and a cherry on top of the jam.
7. Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes.
8. Remove from oven and cool on rack.

For the chocolate drizzle:

Place all of the chocolate drizzle components in a medium saucepan on low heat until the chocolate melts then place in a plastic bag and cut a small hole to squeeze the chocolate onto the cookies. Drizzle random amounts of chocolate onto cookies. Finish off with powdered sugar through a sifter. Enjoy!
