Evenflo Car Seat Recall
The booster seat can crack in the event of a car crash
Evenflo is voluntarily recalling 14,000 Maestro combination child booster seats, after crash tests found that the seat can crack and fail in a simulated 30 mph frontal collision.
In the event of a crash, tests found that a crack could form at the front of the seat, which loosens the harness and increases risk of injury.
The recall includes Maestro child restraint systems with model numbers beginning with 310, built between November 24, 2009 and April 9, 2010. No injuries have been reported.
Evenflo will be distributing a reinforcement plate and repair instructions to consumers. For additional information, contact Evenflo toll-free at 1-800-233-5921.
