The Challenge: In a house with two little kids, there's not much food experimentation  -- and Osborne missed that. It seems like my diet is a metaphor for my life: The same routine all the time, ¿ she says. Also, like so many moms, she felt tired  -- a lot. Nutrition expert [XREF "1047020_5" "Ellie Krieger"] thinks Osborne's eating habits are contributing to her fatigue.

The Solution: To beat diet boredom, Krieger encouraged Osborne to try some simple new dishes and revisit favorites from her pre-kid days. The key is fun ingredients, such as chicken quesadillas (Osborne can limit the spices for the kids), or pasta and sauce with scallops and peas (she can set aside some plain red sauce).

To feel more energetic, Krieger suggested more iron-rich protein (like fish, beans, nuts, lean meats, and eggs), and a multivitamin. These changes are paying off: She's getting into a healthier eating pattern for both her body and her spirit, ¿ Krieger says.
