We are looking for one deserving family to use all of the resources provided by their Y to strengthen the whole family and their community as our ultimate grand prize winner. The winning family will receive a one-year family membership at the YMCA of Central Florida, where they will be able to work with a Y wellness coach to start a new training program, connect with their new Y family of sports, aquatics, youth development and healthy living experts to help them change their life and their community as Florida's Fit Generation Family and journal the experience on a family blog.
The Y is about changing lives for the better and our readers will be able to witness how one family can use the Y to foster lasting personal and social change by strengthening their family and their community. The winning family will experience how everything at the Y is designed to nurture the potential of children and teens (Youth Development), improve health and well-being (Healthy Living) and motivate people to support their neighbors and the larger community (Social Responsibility). One family will take us on that personal journey through the Y fitness classes, that don't just improve physical health, they help unleash a new outlook on life. A journey that won't just bring this family together, but help them stay together. They will experience youth sports that don't just teach kids to score goals, they teach character and social skills to develop our future leaders. This is what the Y has offered for generations.
The YMCA of Central Florida, will host Florida's Fit Generation Ultimate Grand Prize winning family at their 27 Y Family Centers throughout 6 counties in Orlando, Florida. This Y is one of the area's largest nonprofit organizations committed to strengthening the foundation of the local communities it serves.
