'Kidsite' Necklace, Earring Sets Recalled

February 23, 2007
Crimzon Rose Accessories has recalled about 6,000 units of its children's "Kidsite" Necklace and Earring Sets. The jewelry has been found to contain high levels of lead, which is toxic and may cause health risks to children if ingested.

The jewelry sets have birthstones made of plastic gemstones in different colors. Necklaces have a silver-colored chain and a flower-shaped pendant, while matching pierced earrings have round birthstones. "Kidsite" is printed on the front of the package, along with the month of the birthstone. Kmart's logo is printed on the back. The sets were sold at Kmart stores nationwide for $5.

Consumers should immediately remove the jewelry from children. To receive a free replacement set, return the recalled set to any Kmart store.
