Claire Lerner, L.C.S.W.-C is a licensed clinical social worker, child development specialist, and Director of Parenting Resources at ZERO TO THREE where she oversees development of all parenting content, including on Its Web site and in numerous publications.
Ms. Lerner is a columnist for Parenting Magazine: The Early Years. She is frequently quoted in other Parenting Magazines and has been a source on early childhood development for numerous national daily newspapers such as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, the Boston Globe and the London Times.
Ms. Lerner has been a practicing clinician for over 23 years, providing parent education and consultation to families with children of all ages, focusing on very early childhood over the past 15 years. She also trains early childhood professionals and pediatricians on early childhood development and working effectively with parents.
Claire has participated on numerous national advisory panels and task forces related to early child development including the National Parenting Education Network and the American Academy of Pediatrics' Committee on Early Childhood Development.
Ms. Lerner is the mother of 2 teenagers, Sam (19) and Jessica (17).
