Easy: Tuck the extra tickets into a scrapbook and go to his graduation with his dad. After all, who else really needs to be in that room on his special day? You don't even have to tell the grandparents there are extra tickets -- it might be better just to keep them in the dark if they're the type who have more video footage of him than you do. If it's too late and they already know, explain that there aren't enough tickets for both sides of your family to attend and that they're welcome to come over later in the day to celebrate and see the video or pictures of the ceremony.
Q. I get only two extra tickets for my son's preschool graduation, and all the grandparents want in. What should I do?
