Reality Check: Ways to Say "Thanks"

Wonder what to get your child's teacher for an end-of-year gift? Four things
to keep in mind when choosing one:

1. If you got 25 coffee cups every year, where would you put them? Exactly. Same goes for gifts with an apple motif.

2. Consider a gift card to a bookstore or department store  -- repayment for all she likely spent on class supplies.

3. Organize a class gift  -- just a couple of dollars from each child can add up to an impressive present.

4. Don't stress over it. After all, this is a thank-you gift, and even a nice letter from your child is appropriate when it comes from the heart.
