Flower Birthday Party

Create a secret garden of your own with girly decorations, floral crafts, and more birthday party ideas for kids

By Amy Roberts

Decorate: Seat kids at small tables and chairs with floral paper goods. Set out plastic teapots and cups filled with juice.

Eat: Serve "tea sandwiches" (crusts cut off), mini-scones, and mini-cupcakes with sugar flowers.

Make: Paper flowers out of pipe cleaners and tissue paper. Give kids tiny flowerpots filled with jelly beans to "plant" their flowers (these become the favors).

Play: Classic games  -- musical chairs or hide-and-seek in the garden.

Insider tip: Note on invite that it's a "dressy" party. Set out a box of costume jewelry, boas, etc., so they can get fancier.
