The Esposito Family

Ironically, his parents say that Dante has a sense of humor typical of older kids.

Dante, 3½, Weston, CT
"Dante was born on March 4, 2003. As a "25 weeker," he was born nearly 3½ months before his due date, and weighed in at a whopping 1 pound, 15 ounces.
After 3 months of a physical and emotional roller coaster ride, with the amazing help of the hospital staff Dante was finally cleared to come home. During that first year there were moments that we didn't believe this was happening to us -- or to him.
Now, more than 3 years later, Dante is in preschool and talking non-stop (mostly about the Yankees and his favorite musicians). He's actually tall for his age, incredibly active, has a precocious personality  -- and, thankfully, is free of all the side effects that being a micro-preemie can bring.
If there really are miracles, Dante is one of them.
If love and faith can really heal, the overwhelming outpour of our friends' and family's love healed him.
And if there is a God, he was watching over Dante.
And us."
-- Marisela and Seve, parents of Dante
