Thomas & Friends Toys Recalled

About 1.5 million Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway toys by RC2 Corp. of Oakbrook, Illinois have been recalled due to lead poisoning hazard. Paint on the toys contains lead, which can be toxic if ingested by young children. Most of the recalled toys are painted red. The recalled toys include wooden vehicles, buildings, and other parts of the Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway set listed below. They were sold at toy stores and various retailers nationwide from January 2005 to June 2007 for between $10 and $70.

The upper left-hand corner of the front of the packaging has the "Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway" logo and a manufacturing code is located on the bottom of the product or inside the battery cover. Toys with manufacturing codes "WJ" and "AZ" are NOT included in the recall.
