Unbaked Cookies

By Laura Shepard

Unbaked Cookies

Use one bowl for the sugar, butter, and cocoa and a separate bowl for the vanilla, oats, and peanut butter so you don't have to rush to get the ingredients ready for step 2.

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup cocoa
2 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups quick oats
1 1/4 cups peanut butter

Yield: about 3 dozen cookies

1. Boil sugar, milk, butter, and cocoa for 2 minutes. Stir to keep from burning.

2. Remove from heat, and add vanilla, oats, and peanut butter.

3. Drop tablespoon-size spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let cool for about 5 minutes before eating.
