Veggie Booty Recalled

June 28, 2007

Veggie Booty Snack Food has been recalled by Robert's American Gourmet Food, Inc. because of potential Salmonella contamination. Veggie Booty is sold nationwide and in Canada in a flexible plastic foil bag in four-ounce, one-ounce, and half-ounce packages. All sizes and expiration dates of the snack food are being recalled.

Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems. Those infected with salmonella can experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

Consumers should immediately throw away any Robert's Ameircan Gourmet brand Veggie Booty and those who have recently eaten the snack and who have experienced any of the symptoms described above should contact a doctor immediately. For more information, contact Robert's American Gourmet at (800) 626-7557.
