I wish I would have seen this earlier instead of spending a fourtune on a store bought cake for my daughter's first birthday. Super cute!

Made the horse cake for my son's 3rd birthday. It was easy to make, and it looked JUST like the photo here. I did make a few changes using round chocolate wafers instead of jr mints, and black string licorish (couldn't find brown), but it looked just as good. The hardest part was cutting into it!

I made the dinosaur cake twice. The first time I made it green and the second time I did it with chocolate frosting. It was so easy and my son loved it! I'll probably do it again for his 3rd birthday.

I made the purse cake for my own birthday. It was a huge success. I plan on making the train for my son's 3rd birthday and the skateboard for my nephew's 8th. I also really want to try the pizza cake for a friends birthday. They are so easy to make and turn out so great!!!

For baby shower, you could make a baby bottle, cloth diaper or baby carriage shaped cake.

I would love to see all of these designs put together in a book. It would be wonderful to have reference to use over the years, incase this isn't still up in 3, 5, or 10 years.

These cakes were awesome. I can't decide which one to use for my son's 3rd birthday. It was fun to have him tell me what all of the cakes were as we were scrolling down the page. Maybe I'll print them all out in case this isn't up in later years.

I'm wanting to make the train cake on june 23rd for my little boy. The recipe calls for "Ring Dings", I cannot a ring ding anywhere, and nobody I know has ever even seen one! Does anyone know how big they are? I'm wondering if I should substitue Ding Dongs, or maybe even Moon Pies? I just need something the same diameter as a Ring Ding. Thanks!

I made the dump truck cake for 1 of my grand-son's birthday in April. It was really easy to make, and I had a lot of compliments on it. I am planning to make the Star Wars cake for the other grand-son next week.

I made the Owl cake for my son's first birthday. It was surprisingly easy and so so cute! Everyone loved it. Owls are my son's favorite thing and he kept looking at it saying "Hoo hoo!"

I made two of the monkey cakes for a jungle themed party for my children last year when they were turning 1 and 3 (their birthdays are 2 days apart!) I put the cakes on foil covered cookie sheets and taped fake green jungly-looking leaves around the edges of the pans. They came out super cute and were a huge hit! This year I'm thinking about making a version of the butterfly one. It will probably be pink and have less candy, though.
