Beyoncé Talks Motherhood and Possible Sibling for Blue Ivy
February 12, 2013
One year after the birth of her first child (has it been that long already?), Beyoncé is back in the limelight in a major way, coming off of a high-profile tour-launching Super Bowl half-time show. But she isn't all business. A post-Grammys Bey can be seen gushing about her daughter Blue Ivy in an interview to appear in next month’s Vogue. The cover girl opens up about the strength she gains from motherhood in a surprisingly relatable way.
“Right now, after giving birth, I really understand the power of my body,” she explained to Jason Gay of Vogue. "I just feel my body means something completely different. I feel a lot more confident about it."
She describes the day she gave birth as “the best day” of her life and reveals that she was able to “let go and really appreciate every contraction.”
Describing her daughter as “my homey, my best friend,” Beyoncé admits that a little brother or sister may be in Blue Ivy’s future.
“And now I definitely want another, but I don’t know when.”
