ESRB Rating: Everyone 10+

This time of year always leaves many longing for a getaway to a warm destination. For many kids, a trip to Disneyland would fill that longing quite nicely and Kinect Disneyland Adventures is a way to substitute the hankering for everything Walt Disney, from experiencing a fireworks show to riding to Matterhorn to going on the wildly popular It’s a Small World ride.
The beauty of the Kinect system is that no controllers are needed for game play. You can meet Disney characters, walk around the theme park, go on rides and even engage in challenges using nothing than your bodies and hands.
It’s a Small World is always a huge hit with the younger crowd and in this game, the visual effects mimic the real thing pretty well. You sail on a boat and stop at the different regions of the world and have an opportunity to simulate different countries’ dance moves to accrue points and earn coins. Although this game is rated 10+, this is definitely one of many activities that younger kids will enjoy.
There is a master map that you can pull up to route out how you want to explore Disneyland. Many of the same attractions that you find at the real park are represented, so whether you’ve been to the real Disneyland or not, this game is a great way to experience it for the first time or re-live those great Disney memories.
