For: Meant for kids aged 2-6, but older kids and adults will still get a kick out of it

 

Is it a cartoon? Is it an app? Well, The Moogies is both. This fun and highly engaging app by giant Chillingo (Cut the Rope, Fruit Roll and many others) features The Moogies, a hilarious cast of characters that provides endless entertainment for kids. 

The Moogies are wacky animals – an exercising horse, a mimicking parrot – that kids aged 2-6 will have a great time playing with. There’s a big dial pad with a Moogie behind each number and kids “call” their characters of choice and interact, whether it’s to help the dog BBQ his steak or to rock the boat while the quirky cat goes fishing (believe me, it’s much more entertaining than this description).

There are no points accrued so it’s not a game, and there isn’t discernible dialogue, so it’s not really a cartoon, but whatever it is, it’s an app that your kids will go back to, over and over again. Mine do.
