Works on: iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad
For: Fashion-forward kids
Any time Toca Boca releases an app, I know before even looking at it that it’s going be great. Toca Tailor fits the bill again and is this app developer’s latest stroke of genius. Budding fashion designers will delight in the sartorial splendor of this app.
Kids get to act as “tailors” and customize outfits, patterns and styles for four different characters. Upon choosing one of Toca’s signature characters to dress, kids can figure out which patterns they like best, sleeve length, shirt/pants style and then even add things like pockets and fun buttons to their creations. When the outfit is complete, of course, it’s time to accessorize with hats, sunglasses, shoes and more.
What’s even cooler is that kids can even use the built-in camera to photograph anything for use as a clothes pattern for your kid’s stylish model. A yellow banana or the living room rug can become the design for a pair of pants or a shirt. Another cool camera function is that once the model is dressed and styled to the max, kids can take a picture of their surroundings and pop their models right into the scene. Genius.
And true to all Toca Boca apps, there are no in-app purchases or ads, giving stylish kids the complete freedom to design and style to their heart’s content.
