 The company behind the Muppets has ended their partnership with the popular restaurant chain Chick-fil-A due to differing stances on gay marriage. The Jim Henson Company decided to no longer provide Muppets-themed toys to Chick-fil-A restaurants, after Chick-fil-A’s president, Dan Cathy, stated he and his company support Christian groups that are anti-gay marriage, ABC News reports.Read Full Post

On Tuesday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that the chemical bisphenol-A, known as BPA, is banned from being used in baby bottles and sippy cups, reports the Associated Press. Pregnancy can’t stop one Malaysian Olympic shooter from heading to London this summer. Nur Suryani Mohamed Taibi is a pregnant 29-year-old who is completing a number of record firsts as she trains to compete in the 2012 London Olympics. The New York Times reports that Nur Suryani is the first woman to represent Malaysia in shooting—and she’s also the first pregnant woman to compete in the summer Olympics, joining only three winter Olympic competitors in the ranks of reported pregnant Olympic athletes.Read Full Post
