Rod Stewart’s single daughter, Kimberly, 32, gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Delilah on Sunday. She conceived the child with Oscar winner, Benicio del Toro, 44 during what was reported to be “a no strings attached fling.” This is hysterical to me (sorry!). Unless the condom broke, the pull-out method failed, or Kimberly wasn’t on Birth Control, this arrangement makes no sense. It never does, really.
Take the (same, ha) movies No Strings Attached and Friends with Benefits starring Black Swan beauties, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis -- and Kutcher and Timberlake) I get the concept, sorry to be crass, of a f*ck buddy, but, and this could just be the single mom in me talking, I think the deal should be, “No strings attached...unless we get pregnant.”
It's not rocket science, when you have sex with someone, with or without protection, there is a chance (even the slightest 1%) a string, ahem, a baby might result. But, no need to get our panties up in a bunch over Kimberly’s situation—del Torro is onboard for fatherhood and an example to ALL DADS who participate in conception, but don't in fatherhood. A representative for del Toro confirmed to Us Weekly back in April, that Benicio is the father and very supportive. The actor's spokesperson told the magazine. “Although [he and Kimberly] are not a couple, they are looking forward to the arrival of the baby.” Del Toro was present at the birth and a source told Us Weekly that he is “overjoyed!” Grandpa Rod is pumped too! "I'm a grandfather now. I've been going around blabbing that for hours now," he gushed to USA Today. Read: How much time do your kids spend with their grandparents?
Bravo, Kimberly and Benicio. I’m rooting for you!
