I just got home from a 10-day cross-country family vacation—the first since my two-year-old daughter has required her own seat on an airplane. This trip required a whole new slew of considerations that I hadn’t faced when traveling with her as a baby. And you know what? I’m really darn proud of how it all turned out. Here are all the things I did that helped make the trip go incredibly smooth—and the one thing I forgot...Read Full Post

This morning’s TODAY Show featured a segment on a woman who chose to leave her husband and two young sons (ages 3 and 5 at the time) while on an extended research trip to Japan because she realized she didn’t want to be a mom anymore leaves my chest tight and my gut aching. Read Full Post

Living in Orlando, Florida, we have access to lots of world-class resorts, and I’d long wanted to stay at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. I’d dined there often with a group of friends and had dreamed of a cabana day spent poolside with mojitos and a new issue of Vanity Fair.

Sure, I’m in awe that my body grew us a healthy beautiful child who is the light of our lives. But I’ve abandoned hope of ever wearing a bikini again, or, quite frankly, feeling sexy. And when exactly am I going to buy the new wardrobe that I desperately need and vowed I’d buy after I got my old body back?Read Full Post
