Lori Nagy is the 2012 Mom Congress Delegate for Alaska. This mother-of-three serves as PTO President, fundraiser, and classroom volunteer, in addition to advocating for improved special needs services.
How many children do you have? Three boys: a 12-year-old and 10-year-old twins.
What book is currently on your nightstand? The Barton Reading and Spelling System.
School Involvement: PTO President.
One thing you wish could be improved in education in your state: More help for dyslexic kids.
Biggest wish for your kids: That they grow up to be happy and productive citizens of society.
Most rewarding/challenging stage of parenthood thus far (and why): Getting my autistic child to walk and talk and having my dyslexic child read on grade level.
Favorite family tradition: Subsistence fishing.
Favorite family activities: Hiking, camping, vacationing, and eating at fast food restaurants (there is no fast food in our town, which is on an island).
