Best 5 Bullying Books for Parents

My six year old spent first grade “locked out” from playing at recess by a group of mean girls. Bullying starts younger than you think. (Or at least than I thought!)
Bullying is a very real problem. For too many of our precious children.
We must step up to teach our children the skills they need to not be the bullied, the bully, or the bystander. Teaching our children about feelings, empathy, and good communication skills will help prevent bullying. Ask your schools to teach feelings, empathy, and communication as well.
For advice on helping your child deal with a bully, here are my five favorite books for parents.
Queen Bees and Wannabes by Rosalind Wiseman
(best for middle-school age girls)
Little Girls Can Be Mean by Michelle Anthony and Reyna Lindert
(best for elementary age girls)
No Kidding About Bullying by Naomi Drew
The Bully, The Bullied, and the Bystander by Barbara Coloroso

Parent’s Guide to Preventing and Responding to Bulling by Dr. Jason Thomas
