My sister had her baby!

I know many of you have been following my story from way back when I started writing about my life at Glamour. So you know my older sister, Melissa, is also a cancer survivor and a mom to two boys—Andrew, who’s seven (she was pregnant with him when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at 27), and Gregory, who’s two and a half (he had infantile spasms soon after birth but has made a miraculous recovery and, at this point, is only slightly delayed!). AND, as of this morning…Sofia Adele, her 9 pound, 14 ounce beautiful baby girl.

This wild bunch just got bigger!
We are all beyond thrilled that the baby is here and healthy and that Melissa is feeling good (as good as you can feel after your third C-section). Melissa, and by extension, our family, has been through a lot over the past several years. Melissa has never faltered, never complained, never felt sorry for herself and never, ever given up hope. She tried for a long time to have this baby and suffered two miscarriages before getting pregnant with her baby girl. To say we are happy today would be an understatement. I am heading up to see them both now and will post pictures later!

With my new niece--swoon!
Thank you for all your continued love and support and good wishes for my family. Five post-treatment babies between us. Take that, cancer!
