What I'd Say If *I* Got To Sit On Santa's Lap
December 23, 2010
Move over Eartha! I've been singing my own baby-voiced plea to Santa and it goes a little something like this:
Santa Baby [As Sung By A Very Tired Mom]
Santa baby, slip a foot rub under the tree, for me
Been an awful good mom
Santa baby, and vacuum up the carpet tonight.
Santa baby, a brand new spotless minivan too, light blue
With a DVD player
Santa baby, and scrub down both my bathrooms tonight.
Think of all the sleep I've missed
Think of Time Outs, potty training, sassy-mouthed kids
Next year I could win Mom of the Year
If you'd check off my Christmas list
Santa honey, I want a nap and really that should
Be a snap - how 'bout a shopping spree too?
Santa baby, and mop my kitchen floor tonight.
Santa cutie, there's one thing I really do need, a week
On a Carribbean beach
Santa cutie, and clean out my garage tonight.
Santa baby, and fill my freezer with tons of meals, for reals
You know how I hate to cook
Santa baby, and fold my week-old laundry tonight.
Come and trim my dry split ends
Throw in a mani pedi date with all my friends
I really do believe in you
Now let's see if you believe in me
Santa baby, forgot to say a night on the town - don't frown,
I'll let my husband come too
Santa baby, and wash up last night's dinner tonight.
Happy Holidays and thanks for reading!
