Boo's Birth Story

Boo's birth was magical. Attended by the same midwife that helped us deliver Poppy – and the same midwife I'd been working with for the last year – the experience was both intimate and familiar. Eleanor Joy was born in a home waterbirth at 10:07 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7. She weighed 8lb 8oz.

Aside from the frequent questions about when I’m due, the other thing people seem most interested in these days is whether my toddler knows what’s coming. I usually respond, “Yes and no.”
