The 1000 Most Popular Baby Names of 2008

September 9, 2009

Have you seen? The Social Security Administration released their list of the 1000 most popular baby names of 2008.

"Jacob" celebrates its 10th anniversary as the most popular boys name!

Major upset in the girl's column: "Emma" snagged the #1 spot, putting an end to the 14-year "Emily" run.

(Funny...I don't know a single Jacob or Emma!)

First Family Watch: "Barack" didn't make the top 1,000 -- this year -- but "Michelle" lands at 103, "Sasha" holds the #363 spot, and "Malia" is at #635.

Who barely made the cut? In the #1000 spot, it's Yurem (boy) and Elianna (girl).
