With 2011 coming to a close, YouTube’s official blog is taking a step back to reflect on the most-watched videos that had the world talking, sharing, and hitting replay.
In the family category, mark 2011 as the year sentimental videos melted our cold, cold hearts. “Lily’s Disneyland Surprise,” the precious footage of a little girl’s super-emotional reaction to going to Disneyland, was the most-watched video, with almost 7 million views. (Wonder how many millions sobbed like I did?)
Another top video that had us reaching for the tissues: Google Chrome’s “Dear Sophie” commercial, featuring one dad’s sweet online letters, photos and videos for his growing daughter.
