Parents of tweens and teenagers often disagree about whether or not to allow their children to wear bikinis, but a new bikini debate has started among parents of—wait for it—babies.

The Southaven, Miss. location of department store Gordmans is selling a Bon Bebe onesie with a woman’s figure and bikini printed on it. Action News 5 responded to a local parent’s concerned email and interviewed parents to get their opinions on the onesie. While many parents were shocked at the outfit, some said it was a harmless joke.

"I don't think it's appropriate for a small child," mom Cathryn McKee told Action News 5, "I just think that is a little ridiculous that you would put that on your child." One Mississippi father said that the onesie would give people the “wrong idea.” Some Huffington Post commenters even argued that the onesie could promote child molestation.

On the other hand, Jeannie Stanley, also a mom, told the news channel that people were overreacting and that she was not offended by the onesie. Others said clothing is the choice of the parents and that if someone didn’t like the outfit, they could avoid it and move on.

What’s your take on this onesie? Would you buy it for your baby daughter?
