Disney World: Magic Kingdom to Serve Alcohol

Be our guest, be our guest, put our wine list to the test.
The Magic Kingdom is about to get a wee bit more magical this November when visitors to Walt Disney World in Orlando will be able to order wine or beer for the first time in the park's 41-year history.
The French-themed bistro Be Our Guest takes its name from the boisterous "Beauty and the Beast" number and will include French wines and regional beers in a move that represents a shift for the family-focused park.
Disney's other parks – including Animal Kingdom, Epcot and at the private Club 33 at Disneyland in Anaheim – have long offered alcoholic beverages.
The announcement was made on the Disney Parks blog.
"As part of the overall theming, we wanted to offer wine that enhances the guest experience and complements the French-inspired cuisine," Stuart McGuire, Beverage Director, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, was quoted in the announcement. "The wines focus primarily on France's famous wine-growing regions, including Champagne, Alsace, Loire, Rhone, Burgundy and Bordeaux.
"We'll also offer the leading French beer, Kronenbourg 1664," he said. "And, staying in the general region, we'll also offer Belgian beers."

The restaurant, which is slated to open November 19, will feature three separate dining rooms that can accommodate 500 guests. Disney is already taking reservations, so if you want to be their guest, give the mouse a call.
We're fairly certain that vacation-ravaged parents will welcome a splash of on-site libation at the end of the day with kids. Beats having to hoof it to an adjascent park to get your drink on, which up until now has been the only option for thirsty travelers. But there will also, no doubt, be naysayers who fret that having demon alcohol on the premises will besmirch Disney World's family vibe.
So tell us what you think. Should Disney World's Magic Kingdom Park offer alcohol? Or would you prefer to see the entire park remain booze-free? Let us know in the comments.
