Woman Sues Little League Player for $500,000

Thirteen-year-old Matthew Migliaccio’s family describes him as a “baseball junkie,” but he’s now being sued for $500,000 for an overthrown pitch in a Little League game two years ago.
Elizabeth Lloyd of New Jersey was hit in the face by a baseball thrown by Migliaccio while he was warming up the pitcher in the bullpen. Lloyd’s charges claim that the boy’s throw was intentional and reckless, causing her multiple injuries and enduring headaches that she still gets. Her second charge claims Migliaccio was negligent through “engaging in inappropriate physical and/or sporting activity.”

The boy’s father, Bob Migliaccio, is angry and fed up with the suit. He told Fox TV that “it's absurd to expect every 11-year-old to throw the ball on target. Everyone knows you've got to watch out. You assume some risk when you go out to a field. That's just part of being at a game."

On top of Lloyd’s charges come one more from her husband for services, society and consortium. In layman’s terms? He’s suing because his wife in unable to take care of household duties and/or provide companionship, comfort and sex.
Do you think Lloyd’s charges are justifiable? What would you do if your kid were in a similar situation?
