By the time your kids are parents, the demographics of the world's children will have shifted dramatically, says a UNICEF report

Children will make up just a quarter of the world's population by 2050, which is consistent with a declining birth rate worldwide. In 1980 children made up 41 percent of the global village. 

The children who are born will most likely find themselves in a developing country—a full 90 percent of them, says UNICEF. In 37 years, one in three of the world's babies will be born in sub-Saharan Africa.
