Recall Alert: 36 Million Pounds of Ground Turkey Contaminated With Salmonella

Check your freezer: Cargill Meat Solutions Corporation has recalled about 36 million pounds of ground turkey in the second-biggest meat recall in the US. The meat may be contaminated with a drug-resistant strain of salmonella, and is linked to one death in California and 79 cases of illness from salmonella nationwide.

The recalled meat was sold at stores including Kroger, Safeway and Giant Eagle; some of the ground turkey was sold under the Honeysuckle White brand.
