Public Breastfeeding Protected in Taiwan

Today Taipei announced a new law protecting moms who breastfeed in public under all conditions, -- and anyone who doesn't like it can suck it.

In practical terms, anyone who tells a nursing mom to leave a government building, department store, airport, train or metro station will be fined 30,000 Taiwan dollars (about $990). 

"We urge the public to show more respect for nursing mothers, to support and create a friendly environment for breastfeeding," the statement said.

Thank you, Taiwan, for trailblazing the path to nursing-acceptance. We just hope other countries follows suit. What about you -- would you support a law like that here?
