Six-Year-Old Beauty Queen Retires

While most six-year-olds are mastering the two-wheeler or learning to read and write, little Eden Wood is retiring. After years of working hard as a professional pageant queen (she’s won more than 300 beauty queen titles) and starring on TLC's Toddlers and Tiaras, Eden is moving on to bigger and better things, reports The Huffington Post.
In case you haven't been following, Eden is the girl who famously shook her patootie to her own song-and-dance number called "Cutie Patootie" on The Talk before a seemingly disgusted Sharon Osbourne and Sarah Gilbert. Well if you didn't like that, America, get ready for more. Eden's mom, Mickie Wood, says she's planning to build an "Eden empire" that includes music, merchandise, The Eden Wood Princess Canopy Collection, a memoir entitled From Cradle to Crown, an action figure, and who knows what else. She's already said her daughter is "following in the footsteps of some pretty big people who have done pageants like Oprah Winfrey."

It's no wonder Eden is exhausted! But it doesn't sound like she'll be stopping any time soon.
"As long as she enjoys what we're doing and what she's doing, Mama's gonna keep doing it," Mickie said. "If it leads to the Miley Cyrus status or the Selena Gomez or whoever, so be it. If it doesn't, that's fine, too....Why not see if we can't have a Hollywood contract? A reality show? A spot on a Disney program? Why not? It's the American Dream. It's almost like her destiny."
