Nursery of the Week: Whimsical Frog Prince

Bobbie’s design inspiration: My daughter-in-law and I wanted a whimsical looking nursery but still wanted it to be masculine. We searched and searched for inspiration. Finally we came across a photo of a little girl kissing a frog prince and the theme was set. We knew from the beginning that we wanted a black and white color combination and finally settled on green for our third color. Then we let our imaginations flow…This room was a true labor of Love. I enjoyed every minute (difficult or easy) of the process of designing this nursery, from my first stitch to the last drop of paint.

One of the best things about designing nurseries is that it allows you to take a little break from reality and create a "fantasy" room the home.  We doubt that this homeowner would have created a "Prince and the Frog" theme living room, and that's what makes this nursery so great!!   A floor to ceiling theme room isn't easy to pull off, and we really dig the way this came together. Plus, the paint scheme and furniture create great potential for transitioning to a toddler room. When we think of how many kisses the little frog Liam is going to get in this room, we can't help but smile!
