Have you heard about the potential changes to Federal Trade Commission regulations that could be disastrous to bloggers—including moms blogging about baby gear and other products? Seems the FTC hasn't updated their guidelines on endorsements in almost 30 years, and the huge blog and Facebook boom has them concerned. If their changes go into effect, companies—or bloggers themselves!—could get sued if a blogger says anything potentially misleading about a product. Obviously, we don't want fake info out there about what's good and what isn't, especially when it comes to kid stuff—but should mom bloggers, who are usually just writing about what works for them, be caught up in this?
