Bagel Recall
January 24, 2013

Before you sit down for breakfast with your family tomorrow, make sure you read this. Bagels under the brands Thomas’, Weight Watchers, Publix and Sara Lee are being voluntarily recalled for – ew – the possible presence of metal fragments. The problem is believed to have been caused by a faulty manufacturing part at parent company Bimbo Bakeries USA. Metal fragments were discovered in two products, which prompted the recall. No injuries have been reported.
The affected bagels have a “Best Buy” date between January 18 and January 27, and were sold in eight Southern states. Click here to see if your bagels are part of the recall.
If you’ve purchased the affected product, you can return it at the point of purchase for a full refund, or call (800) 984-0989.
Please share with other parents to help get the word out.
