Bringing Kids to Work: Have You Ever Done It?

We’re in the awkward time between when summer camps end and when school begins here in New York City. As a result, we’ve got a kid or two in the office most days. I’ve enjoyed seeing kids zoom by on the office tryke, and trying to figure out whose offspring is whose. And I love that I work in the type of office where this is ok. However, I haven’t been brave enough to try it myself. I don’t have an office, not even a cubicle, and I worry my almost-kindergartener would be a huge distraction for my co-workers, not to mention me. Let’s just say she likes to talk (and talk and talk). And I’m not sure my office-mates want to hear the detailed back-story on all 37 of her Silly Bandz.
Have you ever brought your child to work? How did it go? What did you do to make sure your child behaved herself?
