Britax B-Nimble Stroller Called a Safety Risk by Consumer Reports
April 25, 2011

Consumer Reports is designating the Britax B-Nimble stroller a “Don’t Buy: Safety Risk” because it can seem like the brake is on even when it’s not, which could prove very dangerous near a busy street or downhill sidewalk. CR found in tests that the brake sometimes failed to engage even after you push down on it and hear a reassuring click. Although the manual states that you should step on the brake pedal on both sides of the stroller until the wheels lock (a click is not mentioned), many parents who don’t read the instructions closely may get confused, and walk away from what they think is a locked stroller.

Britax disputes the claim that its stroller is unsafe, and says it has not received any reports of injuries. Read more at Consumer Reports.
