You’re always telling your kids to eat their vegetables, but now it turns out broccoli in some packaged foods may not be so good for them after all. Taylor Farms Pacific is voluntarily recalling some packaged foods containing broccoli after testing positive for the bacteria Listeria monocytogenes. Listeria can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young kids, elderly people, and those with weak immune systems. Pregnant women are at increased risk for Listeria, which can result in serious pregnancy complications, and even miscarriage or stillbirth.
