If you use Children’s Zyrtec Chewable Tablets to control your child’s allergies, you’ll need to talk to your pediatrician about switching to another medication, as the tablets will be unavailable until 2012. According to Consumer Ally, the availability is affected because production is being moved in-house (previously the product was manufactured by an outside supplier). The tablets are not being recalled, however, and Zyrtec liquid gels and tablets are still available and are safe for children age 6 and older.
