Is your kid totally into creating science experiments? Then enter his or her project in our Innovators of Tomorrow Virtual Science Fair! Just upload a video or photo(s) along with step-by-step instructions and what your child learned. Our winner will receive $5,000 and a chance to be featured in the June issue of Parenting School Years. We’ll also feature the winner and some of our other favorite projects on Parenting.com.
Plus: How to Get Kids Psyched About Science

The winner will be chosen by Parenting editors and an all-star cast of science education experts, including Emmy-award winning science teacher and YouTube sensation Steve Spangler; Melinda George, VP/COO of the National Commission on Teaching and America’s Future; Eric Wilhelm, PhD and Christy Canida of Instructables, the most popular DIY community on the Internet; Marilyn Zaragoza, PhD, award-winning science teacher and 2011 Florida delegate to Parenting’s Mom Congress on Education and Learning; Becky Pringle, Secretary-Treasurer of the National Education Association and a former science teacher; and Jake Ward, editor-at-large, Popular Science magazine.

The contest ends March 11 and is open to grade-school kids ages 6 to 12. While parents can supervise, kids should be full participants. Read the full rules here.
