At 4’5”, fifth-grader Julian Newman is shorter than most boys his age. And yet, through obsessive practice and natural talent, he’s playing basketball with kids many inches taller (not to mention years older).

The son of basketball coach Jamie Newman at Downey Christian School in Central Florida, Julian started out on Downey’s middle-school team but after scoring 91 point in one game, was moved up to varsity. He’s now the star player among a team that towers over him.

Plus: Basketball and the Art of Discipline

Check out this viral video of Julian’s moves on the court, which has been viewed more than 2.6 million times.
