Recall: Graco Highchairs

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that Graco Classic Wooden Highchairs are being voluntarily recalled. The seat can loosen and detach, resulting in a fall hazard. About 86,000 such chairs have been sold in the United States.
58 instances of loose or detached seats have been reported, along with 9 instances of children falling, resulting in bumps, bruises and scratches. Graco has received one report of a concussion in Canada.

This recall includes chairs in three wood finishes, with a beige fabric seat cover. The high chair has a top seat, bottom leg assembly and removable tray. The affected model numbers are 3C00BPN, 3C00BPN TC, 3C00CHY, 3C00CHY TC, 3C00CPO or 3C00CPO TC, and they are printed on a label on the underside of the seat. The chairs were sold at Babies R Us, Burlington Coat Factory and other retail stores nationwide, and at Target.com and Walmart.com and other online shops, between September 2007 and December 2010, for about $130.
