Do your kids get bratty at the holidays? If they do, you’re not alone. Parenting and TODAY Moms surveyed more than 6,000 parents to find out how much they really spend on holiday gifts, if they feel pressure to buy everything their kids want, and how their kids respond to the onslaught of presents.
- 3 out of 4 parents admit their kids are spoiled to some degree
- 59% say their kids are more spoiled than they were as kids
- Only 30% always require their kids to write thank-you notes
Plus: Kids’ Worst Spoiled Brat Moments
Read the full results of the survey, including the jaw-dropping average amount of money parents spend on each kid at the holidays. Then tell us: do your kids ever exhibit less-than-grateful behavior at the holidays?
Also, join TODAY contributor and parenting expert Amy McCready, author of If I Have To Tell You One More Time, on TODAY Moms’ Facebook page Tuesday at 1 p.m. ET for a live chat about how to un-spoil your children (or avoid spoiling them in the first place!).
